What is Line Dancing
Simply put, line dancing is a dance pattern that is done in a line. Most line dances comprise of a 32 count pattern that is repeated on 1, 2, or 4 walls for the entire song. This style of dance is done individually within a larger group. So if you do not have a dance partner, this is the perfect style for you! Line dancing can be a very regional thing, but what can be most exciting is going to a line dancing event at a different locations and being able to dance the same line dances you learned in your small hometown.

Country Swing is a partner freestyle dance. There are many different styles of swing, such as East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Bar Swing, and Rodeo Swing. The thing that sets Country Swing apart from the other Swing styles is the footwork/ counts. Basic footwork follows the pattern of walk, walk, rock, walk, walk, rock, or 1 & 2, 3 & 4. The key is that you alternate the foot that you rock back on. Often times this style of dance is fast, uses big arm movements, lots of spins, and aerial flips and tricks.
